I have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Duke University, where I graduated summa cum laude with an emphasis on Biomedical Engineering. I am continuing on to the University of Pittsburgh to study medicine. My early interest in science and math influenced my decision to study engineering, but my desire to help others led me toward a focus on medicine. It also drives me to be an educator.I have been working as a tutor in one form or another for most of my life. I began helping my younger siblings, and I later worked at basketball camps for young children. During college, I worked as a TA for a computer programming class and as a peer tutor in physics. I also held the position of Treasurer for a Duke-based tutoring organization for three years.I support my students' journey to success by creating a customized teaching method just for them. I love helping students to finally understand complex topics, so I begin by learning about my students' strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to tutor them in a way that suits their individual learning style. I am a very patient, compassionate, and attentive tutor, and I am passionate about helping my students accomplish their goals.In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, working out, and playing basketball.
